Cremation Process from Start to Finish
Cremation Process from Start to Finish
Cremation has reached the same popularity as "conventional" burial. Below are the steps included in the cremation process:-
Step 1. Deceased Identification
The laws governing identification differ from one nation to the next. It depends on industry recommendations, each facility determines its unique protocols. However, identification usually requires a family member to verify the identity.
Step 2. Authorizing the Procedure
For the cremation to proceed, the crematory needs official approval. Most call for the person or people making the final arrangements to fill out documents approving the crematory's operation. (Keep in mind that there may be different regulations regarding who is legitimately permitted to make these decisions.)
Step 3. Preparing the Body
The individual facility can handle body preparation in its own way, but it typically entails cleansing and dressing. The body is not often embalmed in a cremation unless the beneficiaries request it for a public viewing or another private purpose. Jewellery and other accessories will need to be removed. The body is then placed in a container that burns but is sturdy enough to support the weight.
Step 4. Moving into the Cremation Chamber
The body is subsequently burned to ashes in a specially constructed furnace called a cremation chamber under conditions of high heat (up to 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit). Following the procedure, the remains must cool before being handled.
Step 5. Finalizing the Remains
The remains are examined for any traces of metal after cremation. This may result from the deceased having joints, screws, or pins surgically implanted during life.
Step 6: Transferring the Ashes
The remains are placed in an urn (or another container) unless otherwise requested and given back to the family.
Note:- The process of cremation varies from country to country.
